Who We Are
Somos California is a united coalition of workers from early childhood and education, long-term health care, and service industries — including event, commercial real estate, and airport workers. We are the hands and hearts that keep this state running — from the classrooms and hospitals to the homes and streets. We don’t ask for special treatment; we ask for fairness, for respect, and for a future where our children don’t have to struggle harder than we did. Together, we represent the people who keep California learning, healthy, thriving, and moving forward.
But that is where we work. We are also mothers, students, spouses, daughters, primos, and dreamers. We are also people of faith, and communities with pride and dignity. As a community, we are the backbone of California.

Together, we are more than just the backbone of our health are, education, construction and other industries. We are the backbone of California. We are Los Angeles. We are Santa Ana, We are San Diego, We Are Jurupa Valley, We are Pacoima, y todos juntos we are California.
