The economic pressure and anxiety among the working class is too much. Too many people in California and across the country are struggling to get by. Instead of bringing down the cost of the basics like food, gas, shelter, utilities, and transportation, Trump is distracting us with an inhumane war on immigrant communities and anyone who does not agree with him. Standing up to Trump’s aggression and standing with our neighbors is more important now than ever.
For too long, billionaires and politicians have used propaganda to divide us, to make us feel small, to tell us that we don’t belong. But when education workers, janitors, and home care providers rise together, we remind them that the economy depends on us that we are the ones who teach, clean, build, heal, and hold this society together.
